Glasshouse Effect

Description

  • Pixie Blood (Student project)

  • 2012

My focus area for this project was:

  • Gameplay/System design
  • Level & Puzzle design
  • Narrative design

Glasshouse effect was a student-based project created during 10 weeks as part of one of our courses.

The game is a puzzle and narrative experience game where the player is being presented a subtle story that is presented for them more like a puzzle than straight on.

Our focus for the game was to create a surrealistic game where the player would find them self in a world that would be similar to an eerie dream.

The player wakes up alone in a big empty white house, where the plants have started to overgrown the environment. The plants are feeding off the electricity in the house and the player must kill them in order to proceed further into the big mansion.

Some of the puzzles requires the player to use the different plant types in order to progress.
